Best Restaurants in Paris For a Date Night
Juniper Dining Co
Location: 3 Elm Street
I’ll start this post with the most upscale, as well as most expensive restaurant that you’ll find in Paris.
Offering entres such as crusted yellow fin tuna, to gormet burgers, Juniper has become a popular restaurant in Paris, for couples seeking an intimate night out.
This restaurant is off the main street and is tucked into a very small plaza on the edge of town. It’s small and intimate atmosphere is the perfect backdrop for the delectable food. Patrons will experience first class and personalized service, which makes the cost of dining more acceptable. You know that old phrase “you get what you pay for”. The is especially true when dining at Juniper.
Driver’s Tip: Yes, jeans are acceptable, however, I recommend dressing them up a little. Reservations for Juniper are also required.

Capeesh Craft Kitchen & Cellar
Location: 59 Grand River Street North
Capeesh is located in the middle of downtown Paris, and is a fairly recent addition to the Paris food scene.
Even though it offers a comfortable laid-back atmosphere, don’t let that fool you. The food and service are definitely considered to be upscale.
Specializing in Italian, Greek, American, and Indian, this restaurant truly does have something to satisfy every pallet.
Driver’s Tip: Reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends
Stillwaters Plate & Pour: One of the Best Restaurants in Paris
Location: 59 Grand River Street North
You maybe saw above under Road Trippin Kel’s picks, this is my top go-to restaurant for a date night, or a nice evening out with friends.
In my opinion, it’s vast menu selection, as well as the view looking out over the Grand River, makes Stillwaters one of the best restaurants in Paris, Ontario.
Driver’s Tip: Reservations are recommended, but not always necessary. If making reservations during the warmer months, be sure to request a seat on the patio

Best Restaurants in Paris for Pub Food
Legend’s Tap House and Grill
Location: 1084 Rest Acres Road
When I’m in Paris and I’m asked where I want to eat, Legend’s is always my number 1 answer. I love the sports themed atmosphere (tv’s everywhere), as well as the menu. It has one of the largest menu’s I’ve ever seen for a sports bar. I especially love the clubhouse, which is why when given the opportunity, I always choose Legend’s.
Don’t let the “Tap” in the name fool you. Legend’s is a great spot for a gang, as well as dining out with children. For romance, I will definitely say that it’s not ideal.
Legend’s also offers take-out, and patio dining if you’re visiting during the warmer months. Reservations aren’t required, unless of course you have a large gang.

Cobblestone Public House
Location: 111 Grand River Street North
Cobblestone is a restaurant located in the main area of town and is owned by the same group that owns Stillwaters (maybe why I love this little restaurant so much).
Cobblestone has a more laid-back and casual atmosphere than Stillwaters, and caters more to sandwich and burger pallets. Reservations are not required when dining at Cobblestone.
Driver’s Tip: If at all possible, request a table at the back of the restaurant over-looking the Grand River and try their nachos!

If you’re a pub fare type diner, you can’t go wrong with either Legend’s or Cobblestone. They’re both fantastic!
Best Places to Eat in Pars, Ontario for Families
Camp 31
Location: 22 Paris Road
Camp 31 is a popular restaurant among the locals and not a restaurant many visitors are aware of. It’s located just on the edge of town on the backroad to Brantford.
Camp 31 is known for it’s BBQ flavoured food, extensive menu, and casual atmosphere. This makes it the ideal spot for people with children, and those just looking for some good old comfort food. In the eyes of the locals, Camp 31 is one of the best restaurants in Paris, Ontario.
Scott’s Family Restaurant
Location: 74 Scott Avenue
As the name suggests, Scott’s Family Restaurant is just that. It’s another hidden gem that many visitors aren’t aware of.
Scott’s Family Restaurant can be found on the opposite end of town from Camp 31, across the street from Mary Maxim.
Best Pizza in Paris, Ontario
Paris Inn
Location: 24 Mechanics Street
Full disclosure! I haven’t been to the Paris Inn yet, but I would be remiss in not including it in my list.
The Paris Inn is located across the street from Winsey Mills. It’s not a large restaurant and it’s easy to miss. All of the locals rave about the pizza and tell me it’s the best restaurant in Paris, Ontario for pizza lover’s. I will definitely be visiting on my next road trip to Paris and I’ll let you know my thoughts.

Location: 106 Grand River Street North
The Library is located inside of the Arlington Hotel. The decor is exactly as it sounds…..a library.

The Grilled Cheese Effect

The Grilled Cheese Effect is a surprising find inside of Winsey Mills. The gooey, cheese will melt in your mouth.
Offering various combinations of grilled cheese sandwiches and a casual atmosphere, The Grilled Cheese Effect is the perfect place to grab a quick bite in the middle of your shopping.
Where to Get Sweets and Coffee in Paris
Dog Eared Cafe
Location: 121 Grand River Street North
The Dog Eared Cafe is my all-time favourite place to visit when I’m in Paris (which is often). It’s by far the best place to relax with a hot cup of coffee – in in my case, a latte.
Coffee lover’s are provided a wide variety of hot and cold drinks to choose from. The cafe also serves sweets, muffins, and bagels. Although the coffee is to die for, the atmosphere is what makes this place so special.
In addition to a coffee shop, the Dog Eared Cafe is also a book store. Avid readers will find lots of used and reasonably priced books to choose from.
The Dog Eared Cafe is one place you won’t want to miss seeing. The fun decor makes it one of the best (if not the best) place to relax and grab a quick bite to eat in Paris.

Paris Bakery
Location: 81 Grand River Street North
Paris Bakery is literally smack dab in the middle of the main street. Take a break from shopping and pop in to fuel up on a coffee and some sweets.

Flour Power Bakery

Location: 89 Grand River Street North
Chocolate Sensations is one of Paris’ staples. This store has been serving locals and visitors alike for many years. Whether you’re looking to pick up a chocolate bar or have a gift basket full of goodies designed, this is the place for you.

Beer Tasting in Paris, Ontario
Paris Beer Co.
Location: 31 Mechanics Street
Discovering the Paris Beer Co. was a pleasant surprise. I didn’t discover this hidden gem until after several years of visiting Paris. It’s tucked behind the Paris Winsey Mill Co if you’re looking for it.
This non-beer drinker loved the beer and the atmosphere. The bartender, Jeremy, is extremely knowledgeable about the product and will keep you entertained if you choose to sit at the bar.
Not only was the beer a pleasant surprise, so was the food. The menu is not extensive, but they serve up some amazing pizza and flatbread. In my opinion, the Paris Brewery is not only a hidden gem, it’s also one of the best places to grab a bite when visiting Paris, Ontario. I highly recommend!
