Before I had visited Kingston, I saw pictures of Martello Alley in a Facebook Group that I belonged to. It’s not an advertised Kingston attraction, but it looked so cool that I wanted to see it for myself when I visited. During my two days in Kingston, I did manage to get there and I wasn’t disappointed.

If you’re driving, there are several paid parking garages and street parking options within a short walking distance. From most central hotels, it’s an easy walk, and it pairs perfectly with a day spent exploring Princess Street, the waterfront, or nearby historic sites.
If you’re arriving without a car, Kingston Transit routes stop nearby, which makes it accessible from other parts of the city. Once you’re downtown, you can comfortably explore the area on foot, as Martello Alley is located in a very walkable part of the city.
