Smile Tiger Coffee Roasters
Location: 100 Ahrens Street West, Kitchener, Ontario
☕ Cafe Mocha

Smile Tiger is one of my favourite coffee shops in the Waterloo Region, bar none! It’s location next to the Kitchener train station makes it a popular spot for commuters. So if you have work to do, this is the perfect coffee spot for you.
The space is large, offering patrons a variety of seating options from tables to comfy couches. Smile Tiger has an extensive coffee menu which makes it difficult to choose, but the Cafe Mocha is highly recommended.
Cafe O
Location: #9 – 901 Victoria Street North, Kitchener, Ontario
🥪 Panini or Grilled Sandwich

Cafe O is my go-to coffee shop when I’m also looking for a light lunch. The coffee menu is extensive and serves up some awesome hot and cold beverages.
Offering both indoor and outdoor seating, the atmosphere is cozy, friendly, and laid back. They even provide a stack of newspapers enticing customers to sit back, relax, and stay awhile.
Crushed Almond Bakery Cafe (best coffee in Waterloo Region!)
Location: 269 Frederick Street, Kitchener, Ontario
☕ Tuskish Coffee 🥯 Simit (freshly baked Turkish bagel)

The Crushed Almond is a fairly new addition to the Kitchener-Waterloo coffee scene, but don’t let that fool you! This is one coffee shop that has a revolving door with customers coming and going throughout the day.
The Crushed Almond Bakery Cafe began with a dream of bringing Turkish coffee to the Waterloo Region. Since opening, this Turkish coffee shop has become a favourite among the locals.
This is where you’ll find the best coffee in the Waterloo Region, as well Ferah’s baklava, and some of her favourite Turkish baked goods.
Aura-La Pastries & Provisions
Location: 324 Frederick Street, Kitchener, Ontario
🥧 Baked Goods

A block down the street from the Crushed Almond, you will find Aura-La Pastries & Provisions, a community focused bakery. Although Aura-La specializes in baked goods, you can also find cold and hot blends of coffee. The cafe offers both inside and outside tables to enjoy a latte while satisfying your sweet toothe.
While the coffee menu isn’t as extensive as some of the other coffee shops in the Waterloo Region, the coffee they do offer is one of the Region’s best, not to mention how delectible the baked goods are!
This coffee shop is in the vicinity of my home and is on my daily walking path, which has me stopping in for a latte and a sweet every week or two.
Seven Shores Cafe & Coffee Shop
Location: 10 Regina Street North, Waterloo, Ontario
🧉 Iced Americano

Seven Shores is also a community based cafe, featuring a healthy menu of soups, salads, sandwiches, and springs rolls, and of course a wide variety of hot and cold coffee beverages. All of the food is prepared daily, made with locally sourced ingredients.
Offering plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, together with its healthy menu, Seven Shores has become a popular hang-out for the locals. When looking for the best coffee, watch where the locals go – and then follow 🙂 .
The Grove Cafe
Location: 295 Lancaster Street North, Kitchener, Ontario
🧉 Cold Brew

The Grove Cafe was created by a mother-daughter team. Their goal was to create a cozy space where friends can catch up, or just sit back and relax. In my opinion, this goal was achieved.
While this isn’t a large cafe, there are several seats indoors, as well as a couple of couches, for people to enjoy a great coffee, as well as one of the daily baked goods. There is also a small patio if you prefer to sit outdoors.
This cafe offers wifi and is also a great spot to catch up on work, away from the hustle and bustle of the office.
Baden Coffee Co.
Location: 1427 Gingerich Road, Baden, Ontario
☕ Seasonal Lattes

You’ll have to drive out of Kitchener-Waterloo to experience a fantastic cup of coffee at this Waterloo Region coffee shop, but I can guarantee that it’ll be well-worth the drive.
Although Baden Coffee serves a wide range of dripped coffee and specialty coffees, it’s the seasonal lattes that this coffee shop is most known for. You can’t visit Baden Coffee without savouring one of their freshly made baked goods.
Eco Cafe
Location: 1441 King Street North, St. Jacobs, Ontario
☕ Macchiatto

The Eco Cafe is located in the popular tourist town of St. Jacobs. Due to it’s location, this small coffee shop gets extremely busy and patrons will be hard-pressed to find a seat. If you have to wait, you won’t regret it. A great cup of coffee is always worth the wait!
This coffee shop in the Waterloo Region offers an extremely diverse menu, showcasing single-origin beans, house blends, pour-overs, and cold brew. They also serve various breakfast and lunch options made with locally-sourced ingredients.
