Why I Loved Staying At Mosaic Suites In Winter
The Mosaic Suites in winter is the ideal place to stay for some cold weather fun at Blue Mountain, a year-round resort village and one of Ontario’s best road trip destinations. Although I’ve visited Blue Mountain more times than I can count, this was my first stay at the Mosaic Suites and it didn’t disappoint. In this post, I’ll share my honest opinion of the resort, along with some insider tips.
I stayed at the Blue Mountain Mosaic Suites for a 5 night winter getaway with my family. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home, surrounded by winter magic that only Blue Mountain can deliver. The suite itself was spotless and beautifully decorated with modern finishes and thoughtful touches, which added comfort to the space.
The one thing that I loved most about the Mosaic was how warm and inviting the suite felt after spending the day enjoying outdoor adventures in the cold. Thawing out with a freshly brewed cup of coffee in front of the fireplace before heading back out for dinner was the highlight of my days.

Reservations And Check-In
During this trip, I was travelling with my family, which included 1 child, 1 teen, my daughter and her husband, and my son-in-law. Even though the 2 bedroom suites sleeps 6 people, I booked two 2 bedroom suites so that myself and my son-in-law could each have our own room.
When booking the suites, I requested that if at all possible, the 2 rooms be close together. Needless to say, they accommodated that request and gave us rooms right next to each other which made it so convenient.
We arrived to the resort an hour earlier than expected. Both rooms were ready and they checked us in early – which was a real bonus.
The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout my visit. They made the entire experience feel personal and stress-free.
Driver’s Tip: When staying at the Blue Mountain Mosaic Suites during the winter, book your stay from Monday to Thursday for better rates.

Location of Blue Mountain Mosaic Suites
As far as location, you can’t pick a better spot to stay than the Mosaic Suites. It’s right in the Village within a couple minute walk to numerous restaurants and shops and the base of the ski hill. Even in the winter, getting around was effortless. I didn’t have to start my car once during the 5 days I was there.
Despite being in the middle of the action, once you’re in your suite you can’t hear a thing which made for a good night sleep.
Two Bedroom Suite At Mosaic
We stayed in a two bedroom suite, which is ideal for families, a group of friends, or a couple who want more space. The bedrooms are on the second floor, with the master bedroom over-looking the living room.
The master bedroom had a full ensuite. There was also another full bathroom on the second floor, as well as a restroom on the main level

Separate Living Area
The living area in the 2 bedroom suite is on the main floor of the suite and is large enough with ample seating for 6 people. It’s furnished with a sofa bed which provides additional space for sleeping. And of course, I can’t forget to mention the best part – the fireplace!
Our suite was on the main floor of the resort, so we were able to enter our suite directly from outside or through the lobby.
Full Kitchen

The fact that the Mosaic has a full kitchen was a bonus for us. It made the mornings much more relaxing being able to cook breakfast and not have to rush out to the restaurant.
The kitchen is well-equipped with a full size refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and all dishes, glasses, and utensils you could possible think of.
The main floor of the unit is open concept, which meant that we were able to socialize while some (not me 🙂 ) were cooking, and some were relaxing.
Driver’s Tip: Request a room on the main floor so that you don’t have to go through the hotel to get to your room. The main floor rooms have a fairly large patio, with table and chairs, as well as a barbeque.

🏢 Hotels: Sometimes, I prefer to stay at a hotel, especially if I’m just staying in the area for a night or two. My go-to platform for booking hotels in Ontario is always Booking.com
🚴♀️ Activities: Ontario has so many activities to offer that it’s often difficult to choose. My favourite platform to find activities in each area of Ontario is Get Your Guide
🚗 Car Rentals: Ontario is so massive that’s it’s literally impossible to explore everything without a vehicle. Although I do have my own car, there have been times that I’ve rented a vehicle – especially for longer road trips. When in doubt, I’ve used Booking.com to find the best deal on rentals.
💰 Insurance: When travelling abroad, I purchase my medical insurance through Advisor Max, as well as my cancellation and trip-interruption insurance. Advisor Max is also the ideal company for visitors to Ontario, or any part of Canada, to purchase their travel insurance.
